About Me

Nice to meet you!

My name is Rosemarie, and I live in The Netherlands with my partner and two cats Kiwi and Teddy. For as long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated by the ocean. When I was a little girl, my grandparents used to take me and my siblings to the sea once a year. During these vacations, I’d play in the waves, look for crabs and shrimps by the piers, and stare at the sea. Since then, my passion for the ocean has only grown. For years I’ve been trying to find ways to include this passion into my life, and if I learnt one thing from my (non-conventional) journey is that you’re never too late or too old to pursue your dreams.

My favourite animal is the octopus (though pretty much any cephalopod is fascinating) so whenever I’m diving or snorkeling I’ll be sure to keep an eye out. Though they’re so hard to spot, I have been getting better at it fortunately!

I’m studying enviromental sciences at uni and I’m hoping to work in marine conservation in the future.

Hopefully through this website I can give you some inspiration on how to get involved in anything ocean whether you’re working/studying in a marine science field, or just an ocean enthousiast!
